I slept like crap last night, but surprisingly I woke up feeling pretty good. I don't know if it was the two glasses of wine or the food I ate for dinner last night, or maybe it was a combination of both, but I kept waking up and then had a hard time falling back to sleep.
I fed the dogs and then drank a cup of coffee while watching the latest episode of The Great British Baking Show. Then I hard-boiled some eggs for the upcoming week, did a 1-mile walk-at-home workout, and made my grocery list. I have healthy meals planned for today through next Friday. Yay! After having a bowl of oatmeal, I headed to the grocery store.
I got home, unpacked the groceries, and then cleaned the house and took down the Halloween decorations (sad face). For lunch I had a salad using up the rest of the ingredients that I used for my salad yesterday, except today I used the shredded veggies, cannellini beans, two hard-boiled eggs, cucumber, a small diced avocado, and lemon tahini dressing. It was a big salad and I was super full after eating it!
It's a beautiful day today, so David and I went for a walk before settling in to watch come college football.
A beautiful fall day!
Afternoon snack was a cup of vanilla Greek yogurt with granola.
After watching the Iowa Hawkeyes win - GO HAWKS - I made us dinner. We had sloppy joes, fries and corn. I made mine with soy crumbles. Instead of the traditional tomato-based sauce, we like to use cream of mushroom soup in ours. Does anyone else do that?
So yummy!
After dinner, I read while David watched football. I went to bed at 9:00 because I knew that despite the time change, the dogs would be getting me up early.
